ZAPATA, TEXAS- Yolanda H. Rivera 79, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Rivera is preceded in death by her husband, Fernando Rivera Jr.; parents, Amando and Teodora Hinojosa; brothers, Fermin Hinojosa, Tomas Hinojosa Sixto (Estela) Hinojosa.

Mrs. Rivera is survived by her daughters, Benilde (Noel) Cremar, Myrna (†Anselmo) Rodriguez, Yolanda (Eloy) Salinas; grandchildren, Aguinaldo Jr. (Pamela) Hernandez, Francisco J. Hernandez, Alberto L. Hernandez, Daniella (Rudy) Ramirez, Francisco J. Jr. (Cassandra) Peña, Alvaly Peña, Mario Torres, Rebecca (Carlos) Meza, Jose Eloy III (Angelika) Salinas, Jose Daniel Salinas, Joanna Cremar, Samantha Cremar, Jonathan Cremar, Noel Ryan Cremar, Roel (JoLynn) Cremar; great-grandchildren,
Mateo Torres, RJ Ramirez, Alexa Torres, Camila Meza, Trey Peña, Cody Meza, Arch Ramirez, Payton Ramirez, Liliana Garza, Carter Cremar; brother, Procopio Hinojosa; sister, Enedelia (†Juan) Treviño and by numerous other family members and friends.

Our family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of our family and friends who visited Mom during her illness, offered prayers, sent messages, brought food, and provided comfort and support during this difficult time. Your kindness, love, and presence meant so much to her and to our family.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the dedicated staff at LMC, DaVita, and Falcon Lake Nursing Home for the compassionate care, attention and support they provided throughout Mom's journey. Your professionalism and kindness brought comfort to her and peace to mind to our family.

Visitation hours will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. with a Rosary at 10:00 a.m. and a Chapel Service at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
