ZAPATA, TEXAS---Xavier G. Morales 78, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at his residence in Zapata, Texas.

Mr. Morales is preceded in death by his parents, Fabian and Sara Morales; brother, Lauro Morales and a sister, Graciela (Raul) Hinojosa.

Mr. Morales is survived by his brother, David (Beatriz) Morales; nephews and nieces, Ester (Pepe Jr.) Guevara, Irene Morales (Juan Rene Guzman), Beatriz (Rolando Jr.) Salinas, Anna (Tim) Koelsch, Cyndi (†Mark) Wright, Lauro Jr. (Zoila) Morales, Anabel Morales and by numerous grand-nephews, grand-nieces; longtime companion Rosalina G. Garcia; sister-in-law, Enedina Morales and other family members and friends.

Mr. Morales was a Korean and Vietnam War Veteran.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 8:00 a.m. with a chapel service 9:00 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery, including full Military Honors by the Zapata County Color Guard.
