Venessa Marie Cabrera passed away on November 15, 2025, in Zapata Texas. She was the owner of Stinson RV Park and storage in Zapata, Texas. 

She is preceded in death by her parents Dr. Ernest E. Cabrera and Hilda Marie Requenez Cabrera.

She is survived by her lifelong partner Roel Basaldua and her brother Edward Cabrera of California, nieces Elisa, Abby and nephew Eddie and numerous aunts and cousins. 

Her education included international medical graduate MD from the Universidad de Montemorelos, NL, MX. She received her Bachelor of Science, Nursing and her Associate of Science, Nursing both from Loma Linda University, Loma Linda CA. She worked at various Emergency Room Hospital in Houston, Laredo and Katy, Texas and in Chicago, IL, San Diego CA, Los Angeles, CA. and as a traveling nurse. But her passion was working alongside her father Dr. Ernest Cabrera in Rio Grande Emergency Hospital.

Venessa's wishes were followed and a private memorial for Venessa was held for family and close friends on November 19, 2025.

Arrangements were under the directions of Rose Garden Funeral Home in Zapata, Texas.
