ZAPATA, TEXAS---Tirso H. "Tito" Amesquita 73, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Amesquita was born on January 16, 1947 in Zapata Viejo. He served in the U.S. Army for 20 years and as a nurse for 22 years.

Mr. Amesquita, otherwise known as "Maravilla" was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a kind and compassionate soul who loved helping others. He cared for the sick and the elderly for the majority of his life. He was always in a joyous mood and loved making others laugh. His presence could light up a room. His acts of kindness will never be forgotten and will be loved eternally.

Mr. Amesquita is preceded in death by his parents, Eduvijes and Evelina Amesquita and a brother, Salvador Amesquita.

Mr. Amesquita is survived by wife, Maria Josefina Agridano-Amesquita; children, Dora M. Amesquita, Tirso H. "Cuate" (Mari) Amesquita, Minerva E. "Cuata" Amesquita, Eduardo O. (Janet) Amesquita, Magdalena Amesquita (Daniel E. Mendoza), Nydia N. Amesquita; son of Maria Josefina, Emilio Solorzano-Agredano; grandchildren, Armando Jr. (Stormy) Canales, Isabela Martinez (Josh Reeves), Juan Camilo Prado, Mateo Amesquita, Ana Sofia Amesquita, Mario Medina, Jr., Selina C. Reyes, Ricky Garcia, Denise R. Amesquita, Eduardo O. Amesquita, Jr., Daniel E. Mendoza, Jr., Gabrielle N. Villarreal, Bryan E. Ramirez, Andrew R. Ramirez; grand-grandchildren, Aimee Canales, Aliyah Canales, Mason Canales, Angel Cuellar, Jr., Roberto Leal, Jr., Aiden Leal; brother, Jose (Hermelida) Amesquita; sister, Amapola (†Deacon Jesus) Cavazos; former wife, Minerva Gutierrez-Amesquita and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at 9 a.m. with a chapel service at 10:30 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Burial services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery, including full Military Honors by the American Legion Post 486 Color Guard.
