ZAPATA, TEXAS---Thelma Moya 83, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Laredo Nursing and Rehab in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Moya is preceded in death by granddaughter, Jacqueline Galindo and parents, Elias and Ofelia Moya.

Mrs. Moya is survived by her son, Jaime Amando Peña (Gloria Del Bosque); daughter, Anna Patricia (Ruben Galindo) Peña-Galindo; grandchildren, Dominic R. Carrera, Christopher D. Carrera, Esteban M. (Kayla Rodriguez) Carrera, Ariana Galindo, Amanda Zoe Peña, Jaime Amando Peña, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Adrian Ryan Carrera, Roman Lynix Carrera; sisters, Gloria (†Isidro) Avila, Martha (†Javier) Rodriguez, Maria Ofilia (Eustolio) Mendez, Alma Moya, Bertha (†Jose Luis) Rodriguez and by numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 8:30 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart at 10:45 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
