ZAPATA, TEXAS---Teresa Herrera, 85 passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo Texas.

Ms. Herrera is preceded in death by her parents, Florentino and Francisca C. Herrera; brothers, Jose Angel Herrera, Abundio Herrera, Jose Herrera and Julio Herrera; sisters, Guadalupe Moreno, Paula Puente, Josefina Cuellar, Ramona Herrera and Maria Melecia Herrera.

Ms. Herrera is survived by her son, Israel Herrera; grandchildren, Luis Fernando "Ferny" Herrera, Israel "Boy" Herrera, Idalyz Herrera; brothers, Antonio Herrera, Candelario Herrera and Jose Luis Herrera; and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, we opened at 8:30 a.m. with a chapel service at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services followed at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
