ZAPATA, TEXAS---Sylvester Martinez, Jr. 82, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021 in Laredo Specialty Hospital in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Martinez is preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Maria Martinez and sisters, Virginia and Lucy.

Mr. Martinez is survived by his wife, Irene Martinez; daughter, Lori (Adan) Bustamante; sons, Lance and Randy Long; grandchildren, Sunshine (Hugo) Lara, Daniel (Jennifer) Bustamante, Shelby Bustamante, Jessica (Arcia) Moss; great-grandchildren, Rebecca Lara, Jacqueline Lara, Kendyll Lara, Yuri Lara, Jarran Kotara; brothers, Frank (†Guadalupe) Martinez; Ruben (Josefa) Martinez and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
