ZAPATA, TEXAS---Sigifredo Montemayor 83, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2017 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Montemayor is preceded in death by his wife, Orfalinda G. Montemayor; sons, David Montemayor, Fabian Montemayor; daughters, Irma Montemayor, Blanca Estela Montemayor and a brother, Reymundo Montemayor.

Mr. Montemayor is survived by his sons, Sigifredo, Jr. (Irma) Montemayor, Leonardo Montemayor; daughter, San Juanita (Jorge Luis) Garza; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Rafael (Rosie) Montemayor, Gorgonio (Erolea) Montemayor; sisters, Zenaida (Patricio) Serna, San Juana (Alfredo) Lopez, Milagros Montemayor (Lazaro Alvarez Perez) and by numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Friday, December 29, 2017, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

On Saturday, December 30, 2017, we opened at 8 a.m. and departed at 11:30 a.m. for a 12:00 p.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services followed at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
