ZAPATA, TEXAS---Serafin Saenz III, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

Mr. Saenz is preceded in death by his parents, Serafin Jr. and Elvira Saenz.

Mr. Saenz is survived by his wife, Cira R. Saenz; sons, Javier Saenz, Serafin Saenz IV, Carlos (Amy) Garcia; daughter, Amira (Rafael) Trevino; grandchildren, Jose Miguel Ramon, Jesselynn Ramon (Johan Niño), Jezelle Ramon, Juandiego Ramon, Azeneth Saenz, Serafin Saenz V, Amira Saenz; great-grandchild, Jaziel R. Niño; brother, Horacio (Rosa) Saenz; sisters, Maria Irma (†Teo) Garza, Rosalinda (†Carlos) Treviño and by numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 8:30 a.m. with a rosary at 9:30 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
