ZAPATA, TEXAS—Sara A. Perez, 60 passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, in Rio Grande City, Texas.

Ms. Perez is preceded in death by her husband, Rolando Perez Sr.; son, Jose Jesus Perez; parents, Jose Ivo and Maria Estela Mendoza.

Ms. Perez is survived by her son, Rolando Perez Jr. (Patricia Guzman); daughter, Stela Alicia Perez; grandchildren, Ian Perez, Noah Perez, Joshua Moreno, Amora Moreno, George Benavides, Marinia Benavides; brothers, Jose Francisco (Frances) Mendoza, Manuel (Irma) Mendoza; sisters, Manuela (†Homero Sr.) Gonzalez, Lourdes (Angel) Lopez, Elsa (†Eliberto) Vela, Benita Mendoza and by numerous nephews, nieces and many friends.

Honored to service as pallbearers are Jorge Mendoza, Eric Gonzalez, Robert Vela, Daniel Gomez, Frankie Tovar, Jose Angel Lopez Jr., Manuel Mendoza Jr., Marcos Mendoza. Honorary pallbearers are Jose Mendoza, Manuel Mendoza, Rolando Perez Jr., Angel Lopez, Angel Lopez Jr., Ricardo Lopez, Jose Angel Lopez Sr., Richard Perez, Jose Homero Gonzalez Jr., Jakob Lopez, and Jose Francisco Mendoza Jr.

Visitation hours will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home in Zapata, Texas. We will depart at 10:00 a.m. for 11:30 a.m. mass at Sacred Heart in Bruni, Texas.

Committal services will follow at Perez-El Brazil Family Cemetery in Bruni, Texas.
