ZAPATA, TEXAS---Santos "Meme" Flores 80, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at his residence in Zapata, Texas.

Santos, beloved husband, greatest father, loving grandfather and adoring great-grandfather. He was born in El Tigre Ranch, Texas. Santos was a Supervisor for Zapata County and served his community for 27 years. Santos was a man of honor and well respected. He will forever be missed by all.

Mr. Flores is preceded in death by his parents, Leopoldo (Dolores) Flores; son, Juan Angel Flores; brother, Enrique Flores and grandchildren, Baby, Soraya Rivera and Santos Flores, III.

Mr. Flores is survived by his wife, Irma O. Flores; children, Santos, Jr. (Veronica) Flores, Rosa (Horacio) Saenz, Heriberto (Maribel) Flores, Ricardo Flores, Jorge (Dalia) Flores, Melissa Flores, Omar Flores, Tannia Flores and by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Santos Flores Jr., Horacio Saenz Jr., Heriberto Flores Jr., Ricardo Flores, Jorge Hugo Flores, Marcos Ivan Gonzalez, Omar Flores and Juan Gerardo Gonzalez.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jorge Hugo Flores Jr., Omar Flores Jr., Horacio Saenz and Julio Cesar Saenz.

Visitation hours will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 9:45 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Lopeño Cemetery.
