SAN YGNACIO, TEXAS---Santiago "Chago" Solis 82, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Laredo Nursing and Rehab in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Solis is preceded in death by his parents, Ignacio and Severa Solis; brothers, Estanislao (Maria) Solis, Joaquin (Anita) Solis, Celestino Solis, Jose (Virginia) Solis, Jesus Solis, Ramon Solis, Manuel Solis and sisters, Teresa S. Vela and Josefa (Heriberto) Garcia.

Mr. Solis is survived by her wife of 62 years Blanca P. Solis; sons, Santiago Jr. (Rosa) Solis, Daniel (Ramona) Solis, Ruben Solis; daughter, Anna (Jesus) Villarreal; grandchildren, Lisa (Daniel) Villarreal, Santiago III (Michelle) Solis, Daniel Jr. (Alma) Solis, Roel Solis, Joanna Solis, Ruben Solis, Jr., Rubina Solis, Selena Solis, Hector Solis, Melissa (Christopher) Vasquez, Marisia Villarreal, Anna Christina Villarreal; twelve great-grandchildren and by numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at 8 a.m. with a chapel service at 11 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services followed at Panteon Del Pueblo Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
