ZAPATA, TEXAS---San Juanita "Cane" Hernandez 53, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Hernandez is preceded in death by her sister, Edith H. Morales.

Mrs. Hernandez is survived by her parents, Alfredo and Herminia "Mine" Hernandez; brothers, Aguinaldo Roel Hernandez (Lorena Vela), Alfredo Hernandez, Jr.; sister, Maria M. Hernandez, brother-in-law, Pedro M. Morales; nephews and nieces, Aginaldo R. Hernandez, Jr., Francisco J. Hernandez, Alberto Lucas Hernandez, Daniella Hernandez (Rodolfo Ramirez), Cristy Hernandez, Dania L. Cavazos (Ivan Malvaez), Deanna L. Cavazos (David Orta), Sergio David Cavazos, Dinorah L. Cavazos, Pedro M. Jr. (Ariana) Morales, Kristina E. (Claritza) Morales, Luis A. Morales (Pauline Inocencio), Kayla E. Morales and by numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. with a vigil at 2:30 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart at 3:00 p.m. for a 3:30 p.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
