LOPEÑO, TEXAS---Rufino Montoya, Jr. 71, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018.

Mr. Montoya is preceded in death by his wife, Irma S. Montoya; his parents, Rufino Montoya and Adelfa R. Montoya; brother, Bernabe Montoya.

Mr. Montoya is survived by his daughter, Irma Yvonne (Dagoberto) Soliz, grandson, Dagoberto Soliz Jr.; brothers, Victor (Yolanda) Montoya, David (Laura) Montoya, Silvestre (Josie) Montoya, Raul (Irma) Montoya; sisters, Hilda Montoya, Belinda (Saul) Ramos; and by numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Monday, July 2, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession departed on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Saint Peter Catholic Mission, Lopeño, Texas.

Committal services followed at Lopeño Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
