ZAPATA, TEXAS---Rosaura "Joche" Morales 82, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024, at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo Texas.

Mrs. Morales is preceded in death by parents, Felix and Maria L. Liendo; brother, Roberto (Juanita) Liendo; sister, Elia Margarita (Ramiro) Hernandez; sister, Gloria (Santiago) Vigil; In-laws, Pedro A. (Emilia and Rafaela) Morales Sr.

Rosaura Josefina Liendo daughter of Felix and Maria Liendo was born and raised in Laredo, Texas on April 4, 1942. Rosaura met and fell in love with Pedro Anacleto Morales Jr., and they were married on August 2, 1964. They had 4 children together: Lydia, Laura, Pedro, and Linda. Rosaura was a devoted mother and wife, she cared for her 4 children, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Rosaura loved to spend time with her family and brought her the utmost joy to be surrounded by her loved ones.

Mrs. Morales is survived by husband of 60 years Pedro A. Morales Jr.; son, Pedro M. († Edith H.) Morales; daughters, Lydia M. Galvan, Laura (Carlos) Herrera, Linda (Alejandro) Arredondo; grandchildren, Pedro M. Jr (Ariana) Morales, Kristina E. (Claritza A.) Morales, Luis A. Morales, Kayla E. Morales, Zahra J. Galvan, Jose Armando Galvan, Hector Rodriguez,  Roxana G. Galvan, Alfonso J. Benavides Jr., Luis Rene Benavides, Juan Carlos Jr. (Berenice) Herrera, Linda L. (Raul)  Benavides, Ovidio (Karla) Bautista, Melissa (Juan) Valadez, Arturo Arredondo, Deanna Bautista, Aimee  Arredondo, Juan Bautista, Adalberto (Benita Alvarez) Morales, Maribel Arredondo; 19 great-grandchildren, sister, Minerva (Manuel ) Rodriguez; brothers-in-law, Israel (†Francisca) Morales, Javier (Elvia) Morales, Raymundo (Juanita) Morales, † Joel (Ayme) Morales and Mario (Mayolanda ) Morales and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Rose Garden Funeral Home. We opened at 6:00 p.m. with a Vigil/ Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Rose Garden Funeral Home. We opened on Friday August 30, 2024, at 8:00 a.m.

The funeral procession departed at 9:30 a.m. for mass at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic church.

Committal services followed at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
