ZAPATA, TEXAS— Rosa Vargas Yzaguirre 90, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, July 21, 2025, at her home in San Antonio after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Rosita is preceded in death by her husband Loreto Yzaguirre of Falcon, Texas.

Rosita is survived by her sons, Eduardo (Tracy) Yzaguirre of Kingsville, Loreto Jr. (Amber) Yzaguirre of Austin; daughters, Yvonne (Juan) Yzaguirre-Silvestre of San Antonio, Maribel Yzaguirre of San Antonio; grandchildren, Téa Olivia Yzaguirre, Anna Belkis Silvestre and numerous other family members and friends.

A viewing will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025. We will open from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

On Saturday, July 26, 2025, we will open at 9:00 a.m. and depart at 9:30 a.m. for a catholic mass at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Zapata, Texas.

Committal services will follow at Falcon Cemetery.
