ZAPATA, TEXAS---Rosa Maria Peña de Guardian, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Doctor's Hospital in Laredo, Texas.

Ms. Guardian is preceded in death by her son, Misael Guardian; grandson, Clemente Guardian, Jr.; brothers, Rosenberg (Fela) Peña, Serapio (Alicia) Peña and Felipe Peña; sisters, Refugia (Beto) Garcia and Guadalupe (Chico) Chapa.

Ms. Guardian is survived by her sons, Clemente (Veronica) Guardian, Idelfonso Jr. (Vicenta) Guardian, Jaime Javier Guardian; daughters, Jova Gamez, Maria Estela (Pedro) Lara, Yvonne Yvette Guardian (Pedro Vaughn); twenty-five grandchildren; brother, Jesus (Rafaela) Peña and by numerous great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2020, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a wake at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

A chapel service will be held on Monday, August 31, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Pablo Alberto Guardian, Idelfonso Guardian, III, Daniel Clemente Guardian, Manuel Alejandro Guardian, Gerardo Guardian, Luis Felipe Guardian, Jaime Javier Guardian, Jr. and Pedro Francisco Guardian.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
