ZAPATA, TEXAS---Ronald Currington 70, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Doctor's Hospital in Zapata, Texas.

Mr. Currington is preceded in death by his parents, John and Pearl Currington; brothers, Marvin Currington, Malone Currington, Ivan Currington and a sister, Audry Gainey.

Mr. Currington is survived by his wife, Joyce H. Currington; sons, James McNew (Letty Lopez), Keith (Missy) McNew, Tyler (Inda) McNew, Wesley McNew, Matthew (Dee) McNew, Yancy (Tracy) McNew; fourteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; brothers, James Currington, Bob Currington, Hank Currington and Johnny Currington and his faithful companion Dingo and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Mr. Currington enjoyed fishing hunting, gardening and playing his guitar.

Visitation hours will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.
