ZAPATA, TEXAS---Rogelio Guzman 55, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017 in Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Guzman is preceded in death by his father, Jose Rolando Guzman; brother, Martin H. Guzman; sister, Olga A. Saldivar; brother-in-law, Omar C. Prezaz; in-laws, Rogelio and Estela Rodriguez; niece, Baby, Genesis "Penny" Ramos and a nephew, Roberto Saldivar, III.

Mr. Guzman is survived by his wife, Maria D. Guzman; sons, Rogelio Guzman, Jr., Roel Ramon (Yanira) Guzman, Ricardo Ruben (Laura) Guzman; the love of his life his grandchildren, Karina M. Guzman, Rogelio Guzman, III, Raymundo R. Guzman, Erika L. Martinez, Roel Ramon Guzman, Jr., Rebecca R. Guzman, Ricardo R. Guzman, Jr.; great-grandson, Elijah R. Guzman; mother, Josefina R. Guzman; brother, Jose Rolando, Jr. (Nidia) Guzman; sisters, Mary (†Omar) Prezaz, Maria Teresa (Olivero) Rocha; sisters-in-law, Maria B. (†Martin H.) Guzman, and Diana R. (Esequiel) Peña and by numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Friday, February 3, 2017, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession departed on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services followed at Zapata County Cemetery.
