ZAPATA, TEXAS---Rogelio Gonzalez 83, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at his residence in Zapata, Texas.

Mr. Gonzalez is preceded in death by his parents, Domingo and Otila Gonzalez; brothers and sisters,

Mr. Gonzalez is survived by his wife, Maria G. Gonzalez; son, Rogelio (Martha A.) Gonzalez, †Mario Alberto (†Maria D.) Gonzalez; daughters, Dora Mirtha (Tiburcio) Quintanilla, Otilia (Derly) Torres, †Belinda (Baldemar) Gonzalez; grandchildren, Vanessa Gonzalez, Martha Mayela Gonzalez, Mario A. Gonzalez, Belinda E. Alaniz, Armando A. Gomez, Thalia Torres, Hector A. Torres, Brenda E. Gonzalez, Baldemar Gonzalez, Jr., †Derly Torres, Jr.; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Rosalio (Anabella) Gonzalez, , †Leonel (†Rosa) Gonzalez, †Domingo (Amanda) Gonzalez; sister, Maria G. (Jose Luis) Gutierrez, †Maria Timoteo (†Juan) Gonzalez and †Enedelia (Candido) Valadez and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 9:45 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
