ZAPATA, TEXAS---Rogelio Bautista 84, fallecio el Martes, April 20, 2021 en Falcon Lake Nursing Home en Zapata, Texas. Rogelio nacio en Guerrero Viejo, Tamaulipas residente de Zapata, Texas desde 1973 fue empleado de ZCISD siendo el custodio "El Tio" de muchos estudiantes por mas de 30 años.

Mr. Bautista is preceded in death by his son, Rogelio Bautista, Jr.; daughter, Dora Alicia Bautista; parents, Jose Maria and Petra Bautista; brother, Jose Maria Bautista and sisters, Irene B. (Leonel) Benavides, Lydia B. Hernandez and Maria Elia B. (Pedro) Zarate.

Mr. Bautista is survived by his wife, Josefa M. Bautista; sons, Jaime E. (Leticia) Bautista, Jesus (Catalina) Bautista, Juan Manuel Bautista, Gabriel (Dulce) Bautista; daughters, Maricela Bautista, Elsa (Javier) Delgado; twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren; sisters, Emma B. (†Servando) Cadena, Rosa B. (Donato) Vela, Marta Bautista, Amanda (Leonel) Valadez; brother-in-law, Francisco Hernandez; sister-in-law, Rosa P. Bautista and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

On Saturday, April 24, 2021 we will open at 8:00 a.m. and depart at 9:30 a.m. for a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
