ZAPATA, TEXAS---Roel Garcilazo 56, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017 at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas.

Mr. Garcilazo is survived by his wife, Imelda Garcilazo; son, Roel Jr. (Beatriz) Garcilazo; daughters, Reyna M. Garcilazo (Juan Villarreal), Yesenia (Angel) Chapa, Daniela Garcilazo (Everardo Esquivel); thirteen grandchildren; brothers, Ramiro Jr. (Perla) Garcilazo, Rodolfo (Rosanelly) Garcilazo, Gilberto (Nancy) Garcilazo, Rene Garcilazo; sisters, Maricela (Antonio) Robles, Esmeralda Garcilazo (Ana Garcia) and by numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Thursday, April 6, 2017, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession departed on Friday, April 7, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services followed at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
