ZAPATA, TEXAS---Roberto Rene Lopez 56, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018 at his residence in Zapata, Texas.

Mr. Lopez is preceded in death by his father, Eleuterio M. Lopez; sister, Raquel A. Lopez; granddaughter, Lizette Lopez and father-in-law, Aguinaldo Navarro, Sr.

Mr. Lopez is survived by his wife, Lourdes N. Lopez; sons, Roberto E. Lopez (Cindy Crawford), Rene A. Lopez (Denise Del Bosque); daughter, Araceli L. (Homar, Jr.) Solis; grandchildren, Nayeli A. Lopez, Angel A. Solis, Karina R. Lopez, Anali L. Lopez; mother, Raquel Lopez; brother, Luis L. (Patricia) Lopez; mother-in-law, Esperanza G. Navarro; brothers and sisters-in-law, Aguinaldo (Ana Velia) Navarro, Sergio O. Navarro, Melva (Jimmy) Morace, Carlos (Rosalinda) Navarro, Linda A. Navarro (Juan Segovia), Juan Antonio (Paula) Navarro, Cesar H. Navarro, Arturo E. (Irene) Navarro and by numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at 8 a.m. with a vigil at 9 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession departed at 10:30 a.m. for an 11 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services followed at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
