ZAPATA, TEXAS---Robert Salinas Jr., passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2018.

Robert is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Oscar Salinas.

Robert is survived by his parents, Roberto and Paula Salinas; brothers, Ramiro (Jazmin) Salinas and Matthew Salinas; sisters, Alena B.Salinas, Cristina I. Garcia (Cristobal Pena), Patricia A. Salinas; nephews, Radek Salinas, Reklan Salinas; nieces, Cristal Pena, Cristabel Pena, Daniella Guardian; paternal grandmother, Gloria Villarreal Salinas; maternal grandparents, Oscar and Socorro Garcia and by numerous uncles, aunts , cousins and friends.

Robert was a member of the ZHS class of 2016. He loved playing sports and excelled in all of them. He also had a passion for the outdoors.

Visitation hours were held on Monday, March 12, 2018, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession departed on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. for a 10 a.m. funeral mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services followed at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
