ZAPATA, TEXAS--- Rita I. Ramirez 72, passed away on Wednesday August 21, 2024, at Laredo Specialty Hospital in Laredo Texas.

Rita is preceded in death by her parents, Castulo and Amelia Ramirez; brother, Castulo Ramirez Jr.; sister, Maria Luisa Arambula.

Rita is survived by her children, Victor C. Riojas Jr. and Vivian C. Ramirez; grandchildren, Marcus A. Riojas, Zenobia Riojas and Gianna Riojas; brother, Sergio (Lupita) Ramirez; sisters, Elva (Clyde) Guerra, Amelia Del Bosque (Javier Ramirez); brother in-law, Juan Arambula Jr.; sister in-law, Martha G. Ramirez and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Monday August 26, 2024, at 8:30 a.m. with a chapel service at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services followed at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
