ZAPATA, TEXAS---Ricardo Villarreal, Jr., 52, entered into eternal rest on June 6, 2020.

He was born in Laredo, TX on November 9, 1967, to Ricardo and Alma (Garcia) Villarreal.  He graduated in 1986 from Northbrook High School in Houston, TX.  Richie was a great friend to many and a stranger to none.  He will be remembered for his generosity, kindness, love of music and movies, but mostly his sense of humor.  He was truly one of a kind.

He is predeceased by his father and his grandparents, Manuel and Maria Villarreal, and Raul and Marina Garcia.

Richie is survived by his mother; his sister Veronica, her husband Kyle Hein, their sons Taylor, Ian and Aedan, and their daughter Alexa and her husband Jacob Phillips; his sister Venesa, her husband Lee Pamuk and their sons Coleman, Mason, Sutton, Ellis and Archer; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

A viewing at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Houston, TX will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2020, from 6pm to 8:30pm with the Funeral Mass beginning at 7pm.

A viewing at Rose Garden Funeral Home in Zapata, TX will be held on Friday, June 12, 2020, from 6pm to 9pm with a Rosary beginning at 7pm.

A Chapel Service at Rose Garden Funeral Home in Zapata, TX will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2020, at 10am with interment following at El Ranchito Family Cemetery.  Please bring masks as they are to be worn at all services per facilities' guidelines.
