ZAPATA, TEXAS— Reynaldo Alaniz 60, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Doctors Hospital in Laredo, Texas.

Rey is preceded in death by his father, Hermilo Alaniz; sister, Anaberta Alaniz and brother, Steven Alaniz.

Rey is survived by his mother, Imelda (Orlando) Alaniz; brother, Adolfo (Margie Lee) Alaniz and their children (Elon and Marcello); nieces and nephews, Sarah Carrillo, Eugene Jr. Carrillo, Crystal Carrillo, Erica Carrillo, Phillip Carrillo, Elizabeth Carrillo, Marissa Carrillo, Steven Jr. Alaniz; aunts and uncles, Linda Alaniz, Paulina Bernal, Emilio Alaniz and numerous other family members and friends.

A special thank you to Ms. Crissy and the Champion Personnel for all the help and care with Rey.

On Friday, July 11, 2025, we will open at 9:00 a.m. with a chapel service at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
