ZAPATA, TEXAS---Refugio "Cuco" Hernandez 68, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Laredo Medical Center.

Mr. Hernandez was the best husband, father, and grandfather; he worked extremely hard to provide for his family.

Mr. Hernandez is preceded in death by his parents, Eudoxio and Benita Hernandez; brothers, Pedro Hernandez, Eudoxio Hernandez Jr., and Alejandro Hernandez.

Mr. Hernandez is survived by his wife, Nancy Alanis de Hernandez; daughter, Ruth M. Hernandez, Dalila Hernandez and Alma Zamora; son, Jose Gerardo (Norma) Zamora; grandchildren, Jerika Reyes, Vincent Flores III, Michael Larios, Isaac Larios, Brandon Larios, Damian Chavera, Dielka I. Presas, Nadia Ramos, Magda Ramos, Alonzo Mendoza Jr., Cassandra del Bosque, Denise del Bosque, Genesis del Bosque, Jose Gerardo Zamora, Judith Zamora, Noel Zamora, Marco Zamora; and by numerous great-grand children; brother, Jose Guadalupe Hernandez; sisters Maria Rodriguez, Armandina Guerra, Benita Gutierrez, Maricela Hernandez, Guadalupe Hernandez and Norma Ramirez; and by nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
