ZAPATA, TEXAS---Petra Martinez 60, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Martinez is preceded in death by her parents, Leopoldo and Maria Luisa Martinez; brother, Eugenio Martinez and father-in-law, David Martinez.

Mrs. Martinez is survived by her husband, David Martinez, Jr.; sons, Pedro A. (Lourdes) Martinez, Javier (Mari) Flores; grandchildren, Pedro A. Martinez, Jr., Hannah E. Martinez, Ashley Y. Flores, Javier Jr. (Maribel) Flores; brothers, Leopoldo (Lucia) Martinez, Juan Luis (Sylvia) Martinez, Emilio Martinez; sisters, Trine (Cesar) Sanchez, Angelica (Carlos) Rendon, Juana (Mario) Sanchez, Maria Monserat (Oscar) Sanchez; mother-in-law, Martina Martinez  and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. with a chapel service at 10:30 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
