ZAPATA, TEXAS---Oscar Martinez 60, passed away Friday, March 27, 2020 at Doctors Hospital in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Martinez is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Berta Martinez; brother, Jaime Martinez; brother in law, Carlos Garcia.

Mr. Martinez is survived by his wife, Celinda G. Martinez; son, Martin (Rebeka) Martinez; daughter, Celinda (Eduardo) Jasso; grandchildren, Elyssa Jasso, Martin Martinez Jr., Jayleen Jasso, Kinzey Martinez, Kalysta Martinez; brothers, Juan J. (Josefa) Martinez, Martin E. (Maria D.) Martinez; sisters, Berta Alicia Chapa, Eva (Adolfo) Aguirre; parent in law, Martin (Maria) Garcia, brothers in law, Martin (Marivel) Garcia, Ernesto (Claudia) Garcia, Enrique (Francis) Garcia; sisters  in law, Maita (Roberto) Nuñez, Adriana (Luis) Lopez and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

We would like to inform the community that due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), County and State mandates we will be having a private viewing for immediate family members only.

A private graveside service will be held at Zapata County Cemetery.
