ZAPATA, TEXAS---Oscar Garcia 76, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Garcia is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Socorro Garcia; his grandson, Roberto Salinas, Jr. and by his parents, Reynaldo Garcia Valadez and Paulita Gutierrez Rodriguez; brothers and sisters, Isidro Garcia, Rosa Maria Garcia and Rosenberg Garcia.

Mr. Garcia is survived by his sons, Isidro Garcia, Oscar M. (Maria Eliva) Garcia, Juan P. Garcia, Rosenberg J. (Blanca) Garcia, Reynaldo Garcia, Willie Garcia; daughters, Martha G. (†Modesto) Torres, Maria Esther Garcia (Juventino Loera), Maria Paula (Roberto) Salinas, Maria S. (Saul) Landa; grandchildren, Isidro Jr. (Brisza) Garcia, Oscar M. Jr. (Stephanie) Garcia, Jaqueline Garcia, Carmen (Roel) Guerra, Rosenberg J. Garcia, Jr., Leilany Garcia, Rosbel Garcia, Jose Felipe Torres, Modesto Jr. (Maria Elena) Torres, Cristina I. Garcia (Cristobal Peña), Patricia (Lauro) Gonzalez, Matthew Salinas, Kaitlyn Marie Landa; fourteen great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Juan Esteban (Olga A. Moreno), Jorge Luis, Eglantina (Jose Angel Castro) and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart on Thursday, July 22, 2022 at 9:45 a.m. for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
