ZAPATA, TEXAS — Orlando Javier Rocha, 37, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Laredo Medical Center, surrounded by the love of his family.

Orlando was a proud graduate of the Zapata High School Class of 2006. He was a devoted member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and attended the A.C.T.S. Retreat, where he deepened his faith and formed lifelong friendships. Orlando was an organ donor, and through this final act of kindness, his gift of life will continue to help others.

He will always be remembered for his big heart, joyful spirit, and the love and laughter he shared with everyone around him.

Orlando is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Narciso and Andrea Rocha, and his maternal grandparents, José Rolando and Josefina Guzman.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved sons, Orlando Javier Rocha Jr. and José Fernando G. Rocha; his loving parents, Olivero and Maria Teresa Rocha; and his brothers and sisters, Marco Antonio (Imelda) Rocha, Olivero Jr. (Carmen) Rocha, Christina Marie Rocha (Johnny Gonzalez), Daniel Alberto (Melissa) Rocha, Jorge Olivero (Sara) Rocha, Jaime Jesus Rocha, and Thessa Nicole Ines Rocha (Tony Diaz). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, beginning at 8:30 a.m., with a Rosary at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home. The funeral procession will depart at 10:30 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to DaVita Kidney Dialysis Center, Zapata County Ambulance Department, Zapata County Sheriff Ramon Montes and Deputies, and Del Mar Primary Home Care for their care and support.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that monetary donations be made at Rose Garden Funeral Home to assist them during this difficult time.
