ZAPATA, TEXAS---Ofilia P. Gutierrez 90, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 in Pflugerville, Texas.

Mrs. Gutierrez is preceded in death by her husband, Porfirio Gutierrez; grandson, Azael Gutierrez, II, Amaro Roel Gutierrez; parents, Jose Trinidad and Irene Perez; brothers, Manuel (Francisca) Perez, Amador (Gloria) Perez, Romeo (Teresa) Perez; sisters, Alicia (Reynaldo) Barrera, Emelia (Arturo) Canales and Maria De Jesus (Heriberto) Diaz.

Mrs. Gutierrez is survived by her sons, Jose Azael (Nancy) Gutierrez, Abiel (†Adriana) Gutierrez, Amaro (Ana Maria) Gutierrez; daughters, Maria Elia (Kelley) Cook, Maria Elida (Luis) Ortiz; grandchildren, Clarissa Martinez, Kristina Gutierrez, Abiel Gutierrez, Jr., Christina Ortiz, Haydee (Chris) Bearden, Alejandra R. Gutierrez, Miguel Gutierrez; great-grandchildren, Noah Casillas, Dannika Ortiz; brother, Trinidad (Araceli) Perez; sisters, Oralia (†Oscar) Vela, Ludivina (Santos) Cadena and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021, at 8:30 a.m. with a vigil at 9:30 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home a funeral mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.

A heartfelt thank you to Amedysis Hospice, especially Darcie, Gabrielle, Meghan, and Michelle for the loving care they provided to Ofilia and her family. We are eternally grateful.
