ZAPATA, TEXAS---Ocampo Elizondo 68, passed away on January 1, 2024 at his residence in Zapata, Texas.

Mr. Elizondo is preceded in death by his sister, Obdulia Elizondo.

Mr. Elizondo is survived by his wife of 17 years, Lydia Elizondo; his children, Kelly and Ocampo Jr. Elizondo, Rafael (Doris) Alfaro, Maribel Alfaro, Tomas (Lily) Alfaro, Jose (Amy) Alfaro, David A. Alfaro, Miguel Angel Alfaro; grandchildren whom he loved dearly; siblings, Ovidio (Margarita) Elizondo, Homero (Marta) Elizondo, America E. Hooks, Omar (Alma) Elizondo and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

He was a devoted father and grandfather; he worked at ZCISD as a skilled maintance. He will be dearly missed. Luv You my Moyito.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
