ZAPATA, TEXAS---Modesto Esquivel, Jr. 62, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Doctor's Hospital in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Esquivel is preceded in death by his father, Modesto Esquivel.

Mr. Esquivel is survived by his wife, Irma G. Esquivel; daughters, Melissa Esquivel, Melinda (Juan) Ledesma, Maria D. "Mary" Esquivel; grandson, Juan Ledesma, III; mother, Juana R. Esquivel; brothers, Norberto Esquivel, Alfredo Esquivel, Armando (Vilma) Esquivel, Oscar (Saira) Esquivel, Juan Esquivel, Ramiro (Brenda) Esquivel, Amado (Mariela) Esquivel; sisters, Lupita (Rafael) Arambula, Olivia (Lupe) Arambula and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at 9:45 a.m. for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
