Ciudad Mier, Tamaulipas; Mexico --- Miguel Lujan-Reyes, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at his residence in Zapata, Texas.

Mr. Lujan is preceded in death by his son, Ismael M. Lujan; wife, Maria P Lujan; parents, Don Manuel Lujan Tejeda and Doña Juana Lujan Reyes de Lujan; brothers, Carlos Lujan Reyes, Benito Lujan Reyes, Ruben Lujan Reyes, Santiago Lujan Reyes, Jaime Lujan Reyes, Juan Lujan Reyes and Martin Lujan Reyes.

Mr. Lujan is survived by his son Miguel Aaron Lujan and by numerous family members and friends.

At 23 years old, Miguel felt a strong desire to study the Bible. After meeting his wife Maria Lujan who introduced him to the Jehovah's Bible, he lead a path to dedicate himself and be baptized to be ordained as a Jehovah's Witness minister. From then on, he served zealously for 50 years in the congregations of Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas; Mexico, Zapata, Texas and Hebbronville, Texas; as Assistant Pioneer, Regular Pioneer, Ministerial Servant and Elder. He was very well known for sanctifying the name of Jehovah God in all the cities where he served. He always gave testimony about the kingdom of God with great courage from a high official to a very humble person. He made numerous friends and disciples of Christ Jesus through the hours of preaching that he carried out during much of his life. Miguel was also very well known for the great love he had to comfort, pray and support with the word of God the sick and hopeless. Miguel was an excellent son, brother, father, husband, uncle and friend. He was always there for anyone who needed him.

On Friday, January 17, 2025, we will open at 9:00 a.m. with a chapel service at 10:30 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
