ZAPATA, TEXAS—Michael Angelo Almedina 27, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 in Kermit, Texas.

Michael is preceded in death by his grandmother, Emma De Luna Lopez; baby sister, Nathalie Lopez; grandfather, Rafael Martinez.

Michael is survived by his son, Bryson Angelo Almedina; mother, Janette Lopez; sister, Ericka Roque; grandfather, Miguel Angel Lopez; niece, Emma Anelise Gonzalez-Roque; nephew, Easton Alexander Hernandez- Roque; brother & sisters at heart, Martin Gavilanes Jr., Erick, Camila, Cruz, Rene Pichardo, Alana & Andrea Montes Y familia Lopez & Martinez of Puerto Rico and by numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

On Wednesday, September 9, 2026 we will open at 8:00 am, depart at 10:30 a.m. for a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Zapata, Texas.
