ZAPATA, TEXAS—Maximiano I. Gonzalez "Cholo" 76, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Maximiano is preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Maria Irma Martinez.

Maximiano is survived by his brother, Jose Luis (Hilda) Martinez; sisters, Maria C. Gonzalez, Maria Emma Martinez, Olivia Martinez, Irma (Jose) Gutierrez and by numerous other family members and friends.

On Monday, August 17th, 2026, we will open at 8:30 am with a rosary at 9:30 am. The funeral procession will depart at 10:30 a.m. for a 11:00 a.m. funeral mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Zapata, Texas.
