ZAPATA, TEXAS---Our beloved mother, Frances Gutierrez, entered the Lord's heavenly kingdom on Sunday, September 23, 2018.

Our mother was known as a woman of love, joy, strength, and most importantly of faith. Everyone who knew her often stated she was amazing, genuine, and loving person. She meant the words "I love you" when said. Mom enjoyed reading, listening to music, shopping, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was devoted to her family and most importantly to our Blessed Mother. Mom wanted to her legacy to include that she lived her life as our Lord intended her to. She taught her family the importance of prayer, especially in the most trying times. And it safe to say that she accomplished this with the simple phrase, "God Knows and Sees All Things." This was a cornerstone of her daily life.

Mother was preceded in death by her spouse, Isaias Gutierrez, Sr. Mother was also preceded in death by her parents, George Morin and Lena Morin, her sister, Maria C. Esparza, Antonio Morin, and George Morin, Jr.

Her surviving family includes her daughters, Paula (Edelmiro) Santos of Laredo, Texas, Debra (Antonio) Cortez of San Antonio, Texas, Susana I. Gutierrez of Zapata, Texas; sons Jesse (Yilsa De Los Santos) Esparza of San Antonio, Texas, and Isaias Gutierrez, Jr. of Zapata, Texas. Grandchildren include Anissa Garcia, Miro Santos, Jr, Victoria Santos, Christina Santos, Jesse Esparza Jr., and Andrea Esparza. Surviving sisters include Nicky Ruiz, Lupe Muniz, Della Santibanez, Corinna Galindo, Irene (Pete) Marquez, and one brother, Joe Morin.

Her family and extended family members include numerous nieces, nephews, and close family friends. The love, respect, and admiration given by them is so genuinely felt and appreciated.

Visitation hours were held on Thursday, September 27, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession departed on Friday, September 28, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services followed at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
