ZAPATA, TEXAS-- Mario C. Gonzalez 64, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at his residence in Zapata Texas.

Mr. Gonzalez, is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Adela Gonzalez; parents, Ramon and Francisca Gonzalez; sisters, Elsa Gutierrez, Esther Gonzalez, Edna (Homero) Garcia, Elena (Javier) Guzman.

Mr. Gonzalez is survived by his brothers, Juan Ramon (†Guadalupe) Gonzalez, Javier (Juana) Gonzalez, Homero (Esmeralda) Gonzalez, Pablo Gonzalez; sisters, Elvia (†Miguel) Garza, Elia (Felipe Jr.) Garza; Brother in law, Juan Gutierrez Jr. and by numerous nephews, nieces and many friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. funeral mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
