ZAPATA, TEXAS---Maricela S. Muñoz 67, passed away on Wednesday, August 3,   2022 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Muñoz is preceded in death by her husband, Javier Muñoz; parents, Joaquin and Ana Maria Solis; sisters, Maria Elena S. Koch, Gloria S. Morales, Ana Maria (David) Garcia, Lydia (Bernardo) Bustamante.

Mrs. Muñoz is survived by her son, Ricardo J. (Rocio) Muñoz; grandsons, Ricardo J. Muñoz, Rey Muñoz; granddaughter, Paola Gomez; brother, Joaquin Solis Jr. and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Friday, August 5, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession departed at 10:30 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal service followed at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
