ZAPATA, TEXAS---Maricela Chapa-Gutierrez 62, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at her residence in Zapata, Texas.

Mrs. Chapa-Gutierrez is preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Chapa Jr.; parents, Erasmo and Alicia Gutierrez; brothers, Celso Erasmo Gutierrez and Efrain Gutierrez.

Mrs. Chapa-Gutierrez is survived by her daughters, Erika (Dagoberto) Guerrero, Marilu (Israel) Chapa, Claudia Chapa, Alejandra (Juan Jr.) Valadez, Yoselin (Leopoldo) Herrera; fifteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Francisco Gutierrez, Erasmo Gutierrez, Reynol Gutierrez, Urbano Gutierrez; sisters, Amparo Gutierrez, Lydia Gutierrez, Dora Lozano, Maria Elena Ortegon, Zuelma Chapa and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Panteon Rancho Nuevo in Rancho Nuevo, N.L.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
