ZAPATA, TEXAS— Maribel M. Bustamante 67, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at The Village Nursing Home in McAllen, Texas.

Mrs. Bustamante is preceded in death by her father Raul D. Martinez.

Mrs. Bustamante is survived by her husband of 39 years Rudy Bustamante; daughters, Andrea M. Bustamante (Jorge H. Salinas) , Stacey R. Bustamante (Javier Romero), Rudie Lynn B. (Jonathan) Pacheco; grandchildren, Rebecca A. Uribe, Aberdeem M. Uribe, Tristen R. Jackson, Ryder L. Jackson, Arialinda C. Pacheco, Joylene J. Romero, Justin H. Salinas, Jonathan E. Pacheco Jr., mother, Maria Del Refugio "Cuquita" Martinez; brother, Raul Martinez Jr.; sisters, Patricia Rodriguez, Cookie Martinez, Sandra (Randy) Bottomley, Veronica (Jason) Knox and numerous other family members and friends.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025. We will open from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

On Friday, July 25, 2025, we will open at 9:00 a.m. with a chapel service at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
