ZAPATA, TEXAS---Maria E. Torres 76, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2020 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Ms. Torres is preceded in death by her husband, Mario Torres; son-in-law, Ricardo Ramirez and a brother, Lorenzo Perez.

Ms. Torres is survived by her son, Mario Torres, Jr.; daughters, Armandina (Jose Ruben) Peña, Belinda Ramirez (Carlos Palos), Esperanza Torres (Hector Lucio); grandchildren, Jose Ruben (Cynthia) Peña, Jr., Luis D. (Mariana) Peña, Mario III (Alvaly) Torres, Amy Peña, Keven Torres, Hugo Vasquez, Jessica Lucio, Ricardo Torres, Luz Elena Torres; great-grandchildren, Luis Bustamante, Fernando Bustamante, Jose Ruben Peña, III, Joel Peña, Javier Peña, Luis D. Peña, Jr., Daniella Peña, Mateo Torres, Alexa Torres; great-great-grandchild, Fernando Bustamante, Jr.; brothers, Salvador Perez, Adalberto Perez, Rafael Perez, Baltazar Perez; sisters, Juana Ulloa, Cira Perez, Flavia Perez, Flor Perez, Esperanza Perez and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2020, at 8 a.m. with a rosary at 9 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart at 10 a.m. for a 10:30 a.m. graveside service at Zapata County Cemetery.
