ZAPATA, TEXAS---Maria Del Socorro Hinojosa 79, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Hinojosa is preceded in death by her son, Zaragoza Hinojosa and a great-granddaughter, Faith Adellee Lopez.

Mrs. Hinojosa is survived by her husband, Gumercindo Hinojosa; sons, Dagoberto (Bertha) Hinojosa, Alvaro (Brenda) Hinojosa; daughters, Maria Eloisa (Reynol) Bautista, Maria Isabel (David) Delgado, Edna Lorena Hinojosa; grandchildren, Dagoberto Jr. (Melissa) Hinojosa, Selina Icela Hinojosa, Brizeiry Fatima Hinojosa, Brisa Hinojosa, Monica (Gilberto) Alaniz, Yesenia (Jose) Rodriguez, Carolina (Abiud) Buruato, Azucena (Alfonso) Zepeda, Isabel (Ricky) Villarreal, Virginia (Oscar) Granados, Roel (Jenicia) Bautista, Nancy (Ricky) Lopez, Jose (Cynthia) Hinojosa; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Isaias (Rosie) Gudiño, Juan (Hermila) Gudiño and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Mr. & Mrs. Gumercindo Hinojosa were owners and operators of El Jacalito Restaurant for over 40 years.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 9:45 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
