ZAPATA, TEXAS---Maria Del Socorro Gonzalez 68, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Gonzalez is preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra E. (Angel A.) Tovar; grandson, Angel A. Tovar, Jr.; parents, Esteban and Agustina Aranda and son-in-law, Alan M. Montes.

Mrs. Gonzalez is survived by her husband, Cesario Gonzalez; sons, Alejandro (Gaby) Gonzalez, Carlos J. Tovar; daughters, Claudia E. (Victor D. Jr.) Garcia, Martha P. Montes (Carlos Talamante); grandchildren, Alejandro Gonzalez, Jr., Alana M. Montes, Andrea M. Montes, Karely Garcia, Alan M. Montes, Victor D. Garcia, III, Valente Garcia and by numerous brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
