ZAPATA, TEXAS---Maria D. "Socorrito" Villarreal 69, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Villarreal is preceded in death by her husband, Casimiro Villarreal and a son, Oscar Sanchez.

Mrs. Villarreal is survived by her sons, Miguel Sanchez, Ricardo Sanchez, Enrique (Maria V. Vargas) Sanchez; daughters, Patricia (Rodolfo) Gonzalez, Dulce Sanchez (Eloy Alaniz), Raquel Sanchez (Julia Madrigal); grandchildren, Geovanni (Selinda) Gonzalez, Gabriel Bautista Jr. (Abigail Zuniga), Daniel Bautista, Itzel Gonzalez (Hernan Hernandez), Oscar Sanchez Jr., Erika Sanchez, Landon E. Sanchez, Lyanna Sanchez; great-grandchildren, Geovanni Gonzalez, Jeraldin Gonzalez and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.
