ZAPATA, TEXAS---Maria Del Rosario Gonzalez 55, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Ms. Gonzalez is survived by her parents, Brigido and Orfalinda Gonzalez; brother, Brigido Jr. (Maru) Gonzalez; sisters, Veronica (Orlando) Guerra, Margarita Gonzalez, Claudia (Romeo) Mercado; nieces and nephews, Priscilla M., Leslie A., Brigido III, Mario Gonzalez, Orlando Jr. (Selene) Guerra, Vanessa (Pablo) Rached, Jesus Daniel (Yolanda) Garcia, Adrian (Isela) Garcia, Clarissa Y. Gonzalez, Sophia and Andrea Mercado and by numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020, at 2 p.m. with a rosary at 3:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart at 4 p.m. for a graveside at 4:30 p.m. at Zapata County Cemetery.

Rosario was a member of Zapata High School Class of 1984. Special thanks to her loving caretaker Estela Vela.
