ZAPATA, TEXAS---Maria L. Rodriguez Romero 58, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at her residence in Zapata, Texas.

Mrs. Rodriguez Romero is preceded in death by her father, Jose Maria Rodriguez Cuellar.

Mrs. Rodriguez Romero is survived by her husband, Juan A. Garcilazo; daughters, Iraselia Garcilazo; Griselda Garcilazo (Manuel Garcia, Jr.); grandchildren, Juan Angel Barrientos, Vanessa Barrientos, Hector Barrientos, Jr., Alyssa Sanchez, Alejandro Sanchez, Jr., Kaitlyn M. Garcia, Jose Luis Salinas, Jr., Manuel E. Garcia, III., Kelsey M. Garcia; mother, Maria Isabel Romero Piñon; brothers, Francisco Medina Romero (Laura), Jesus Medina Romero, Santos Medina Romero, Jose Maria Rodriguez; sisters, Maria Isabel Rodriguez, Hilaria Rodriguez (Pablo), Adriana Rodriguez (Humberto), Maria De Los Angeles Medina Romero (Claudio) and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021, at 8:00 a.m. with a rosary at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Zapata County Cemetery.
