ZAPATA, TEXAS---Maria Del Refugio Borjas Cruz 88, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at her residence in Zapata, Texas.

Mrs. Borjas Cruz is preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Maria De Los Angeles Borjas; son, Armando G. Borjas and a daughter, Laurentina P. Borjas.

Mrs. Borjas Cruz is survived by her children, Beatriz (Edelmiro) Sanchez, Efrain G. Borjas, Victor Saul (Emabely) Garcia, Maria De Los Angeles (Juan Alberto) Medrano, Elvia (Alejandro) Cortina, America (Roberto H.) Benavides; 22 grandchildren and by numerous great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2018, at 9 a.m. with an 11 a.m. chapel service at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
